MMS and
the track promoters do not endorse or guarantee
specific manufacturers of products, and thus the
rider must rely on his or her own judgment in the
selection and usage of any helmet and apparel for
durability and safety.
2.
Participants are solely responsible for the
condition of their riding equipment and dirt bikes.
MMS does not inspect or verify the condition of dirt
bikes, accessories, clothing or other riding gear
used in MMS events. Participants are solely
responsible for their safety.
3.
All
riding apparel must be properly worn and attached.
Riders with any riding apparel deemed improper and
or endangering to any rider’s safety, shall be black
flagged. After making corrections the rider may be
allowed to proceed.
4.
Riders
with improperly strapped helmets may be immediately
disqualified. First offense, 15 days suspension,
second offense, 31 days suspension.
5.
It is
the sole responsibility of the rider to select a
helmet and apparel that will provide appropriate
protection.
6.
A helmet
must be worn & properly strapped during all
competition. All helmets must be full coverage or
full-face models. Helmets must be certified by the
manufacturer and have a sticker affixed stating it
meets or exceeds DOT 95, DOT 2000, Snell M 2000 or
any of the FIM SFI approved certifications. Helmets
with cracks, broken straps, non-operable snaps, and
other such defects are prohibited.
7.
Shatter-proof goggles are required at the beginning
of each practice session, qualifier, and moto. MMS
strongly advises you wear you eye protection at all
times on the track.
8.
Jerseys
must be long sleeved and full length and made of a
durable material that will help protect a rider
against cuts and bruises.
9.
Long,
protective pants made of leather or other durable
material must be worn during practice and racing.
10.
Full
front and back chest protectors with shoulder pads
are required for all riders under 18 years old.
11.
Riding
gloves are also required during competition.
12.
Conventional motocross boots are required for
competition.
13.
Failure
to wear all required competition apparel will result
in disqualification for the day if rider refuses to
correct the problem when asked by MMS or track
officials.
